This refund policy explains how Cipher8 handles refunds, cancellations and billing disputes for Cipher8 Pro subscriptions. It applies to every paid Pro plan sold through our checkout, whether billed monthly or yearly, and supplements the broader terms of service.
30-day money-back guarantee
We want you to be confident in Cipher8 Pro. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your order date — no questions asked. After 30 days, monthly subscription charges are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future billing. Yearly subscriptions remain fully refundable during the first 30 days of the original purchase. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers the first payment for a new subscription, not subsequent renewals.
Because Domain 1 is free forever, we strongly recommend trying the free tier first to confirm that the Cipher8 learning method works for you before subscribing to Pro. Most refund requests come from candidates who upgraded without testing the method; the free tier is designed to make sure that does not happen.
How to request a refund
Refunds are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. To request a refund from the Cipher8 refund policy:
- Visit paddle.net and look up your order using the email you used at checkout, or
- Email us at support@cipher8.app with your order ID and we will assist.
Most refund requests are reviewed within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. The time the funds take to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer or bank — typically 5–10 business days for credit cards, faster for PayPal and digital wallets.
What we can refund
- Your most recent monthly Pro charge, within 30 days of the charge date.
- The initial yearly Pro charge, within 30 days of the purchase date.
- Charges resulting from a clear billing error or duplicate transaction.
- Charges where the Cipher8 service was demonstrably unavailable for an extended period after purchase.
What we cannot refund
- Monthly renewals after the first 30 days of the original subscription.
- Yearly renewals after the first 30 days of the original subscription — cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
- Partial-month or partial-year refunds for unused time after cancellation, except where required by law.
Cancellation
Cancelling your Cipher8 Pro subscription stops future renewals. You retain Pro access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancellation can be performed from the in-app billing portal (provided by Paddle) or by emailing support@cipher8.app. Cancellation is not the same as a refund — to receive money back you must also request a refund within the 30-day window described above.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact support@cipher8.app or Paddle first. We will almost always resolve refund and billing issues directly and quickly. Filing a chargeback before contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated by the card network.
Statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this refund policy limits any statutory consumer rights that apply to you under the law of your country of residence, including any mandatory withdrawal rights under EU or UK consumer-protection law.
